Corpus Christi Celebrations - Taking Faith Outside

Corpus Christi celebrations in the diocese June 14 included the following: Processions from St. Paul Cathedral to the Bishop Flanagan park across the street, with Benediction at an outdoor altar, led by Bishop McManus after English Mass and Father Diego Buritica, associate pastor, after Spanish Masses; A procession from St. John, Guardian of Our Lady Parish through downtown Clinton, for which more than 250 clergy, religious and laity joined Bishop McManus, followed by Benediction in the church; The re-opening of the community perpetual adoration chapel in the Emmaus Center in Webster , for which Father Adam Reid, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, carried the Host in the monstrance from the church across the street to the chapel.
