St. Francis Xavier Novena at 100

Msgr. Francis J. Scollen preaches at Tuesday afternoon’s St. Francis Xavier novena Mass. Msgr. Scollen, who served at St. John Parish from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, is credited for keeping the novena going when the last member of the Jesuit mission band got too old to attend and he recruited diocesan priests to preach instead.
