Signed Mass in Auburn

A signed Mass was celebrated July 5 at North American Martyrs Parish in Auburn, which has a window depicting Jesus’ encounter with a deaf man (Mark 7:31-37). One of the parish’s patrons, St. René Goupil, was a deaf Jesuit. The Mass was part of a pilgrimage for participants in the International Catholic Deaf Association United States Section’s conference, held July 2-7 in Boston. Tanya Connor | CFP
