FITCHBURG – On Nov. 17 Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebrated the 150th anniversary of their arrival in the United States (New York). At Mass at St. Bernard Parish at St. Camillus de Lellis Church, Bishop McManus and the pastor, Father Joseph Dolan, praised them, especially for educating children. The sisters received two new associates, and sisters and associates renewed their vows. Their foundress, Nano Nagle, was represented in a picture and by a lantern, like she carried by night in Ireland to visit those in need.
