Ordination - Three men from three different countries were ordained priests.

Three men from three different countries were ordained priests for the Worcester Diocese June 22 at St. Paul Cathedral. They are Thiago Moises Da Silva (from Brazil), Vijaya Sagar Gundiga (from India) and Alfredo Porras (from Venezuela and Worcester). Concelebrating the Mass with Bishop McManus were Bishop Reilly, retired bishop of the diocese; Archbishop Michael W. Banach, a son of the diocese who is apostolic nuncio to Senegal, Cape Verde and Mauritania; Cardinal Baltazar Porras Cardozo, a family member of Alfredo Porras and archbishop of Mérida, Venezuela, and apostolic administrator of Caracas, Santiago de Venezuela, and Bishop Raúl Biord Castillo, bishop of La Guaira in Venezuela.
