Hundreds of cars were lined up in rows in the parking lot of St. Joseph Church in Charlton Holy Saturday afternoon. People inside their cars tuned in their radio stations to hear their pastor, Father Robert A. Grattaroti preach words of hope after hearing the Gospel read by Deacon Willam Shea. They responded "Amen" by blowing their car horns in a most unusual Holy Saturday service. The pastor and the deacon could be seen standing under the portico. They went inside the church and the cars processed to the portico and individuals exited their vehicles to receive a blessing. (Photos by Bob Ritacco | St Joseph Parish and Margaret M. Russell | CFP)
