At the upcoming Worcester Catholic Women’s Conference, one of the keynote speakers is Ester Munt-Brooks. She is a Catholic educator dedicated to helping ordinary people deepen their faith and apply it to their daily lives. Ester shares her message widely in parishes and at Catholic events around the United States for both English and Spanish-speaking audiences. One such event was the prestigious Napa Institute Annual Summer Conference. You may also hear her on media outlets such as cable television and internet distribution on the CatholicTV Network and she has been interviewed on EWTN.
Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Ester now resides in Reston, Virginia. She is married to Arthur Brooks, an author, and has three adult children, with two daughters-in-law, and one grandson. Her topics include issues that concern individuals, couples, families and communities.
Helping Catholics find ways to live out their faith each day is her primary focus. Drawing on scripture as well as Church teachings, her talks begin by explaining the theological principles that inform our Catholic faith. After introducing these principles, Ester offers unique and practical takeaways that attendees can immediately introduce into their everyday lives to grow closer to God.
The theme for the Conference this year is “Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart”. This concept is easy to reiterate but can be difficult to live by. To offer guidance on our theme, Mrs. Munt-Brooks will discuss ways in which we can “Find Hope.” A list of topics on which Ester has spoken can be found at her website fevaloryalegria.org.
Also on her website is a page of testimonials. One says, “Ester has a special way of connecting to all who hear her speak. She is warm, welcoming, and wise and has touched many hearts in parishes. .... Ester’s intellect, knowledge and life experiences make her talks educational, engaging and inspiring. The joy that Ester has found in Jesus Christ makes her a modern-day disciple who brings the Catholic faith alive in our world ...” – Susan Horne, Liaison to Wives of Men in Formation for Permanent Diaconate (Archdiocese of Boston).
Also speaking at this year’s conference will be “the Relic Guy” Fr. Carlos Martins, Pamela Acker of the Kolbe Institute and Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Sr. Marie Bernard Maney and Sr. Katherine Maria Mueller. In addition to the speakers’ program, the sacrament of reconciliation will be available during the lunch break, and a wide variety of exhibitors will be on hand all day.
