“Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart,” is the theme of the upcoming Worcester Catholic Women’s Conference, on Oct. 5 at St. Joseph School in Webster.
The event will include talks from three Catholic speakers from around the country, time for confession, celebration of the Eucharist and opportunities for fellowship. There will be several priests available to hear confessions.
Conference registration begins at 7 a.m., followed by the rosary and adoration. Confessions will be held during the lunch break at noon. Lunch is provided for in the ticket price. Bishop McManus will celebrate Mass at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph Basilica to conclude the event.Father Carlos MartinsPamela Acker
Featured speakers begin at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day. Speakers include Fr. Carlos Martins, Pamela Acker and Ester Munt-Brooks.
Father Martins was a former atheist who became a priest and joined The Companions of the Cross. He is known as the “relic guy” and is the director of Treasures of the Church, whose purpose is to give people an experience of the living God through an encounter with the relics of saints. He also is well known for his popular podcast, “The Exorcist Files.”
Ms. Acker, a medical researcher and science teacher, is a devout Catholic who works with the Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation. Ester Munt-Brooks
Mrs. Munt-Brooks is a Catholic educator and speaker. She hosts the website fevaloryalegria.org. “Fe, valor y alegria” translated from Portuguese to English is faith, courage and joy. “Learning to live our faith with joy,” she explains the Catholic faith and offers practical ideas to incorporate it into everyday life, helping people grow closer to God. Organizers call it “a day you will not want to miss” and expect the conference to sell out. More information about the conference can be found on wcwconference.com.
