WORCESTER – Partners in Charity has announced that as of the May 10 report it has raised 80% of its goal, or $4,010,385 of the $5 million sought for this year’s appeal. Some 13,182 donors have made pledges and gifts to date, according to a press release from Raymond L. Delisle, chancellor and director of the Office of Communications. “Reaching $4 million at this point in our campaign is testimony to the generosity of our people,” Bishop McManus said in a statement. “Our appeal theme, ‘Called to be Merciful,’ is not just a slogan. The need is great, certainly beyond the $5 million goal of this appeal, and so many people are seeking hope through our many agencies and ministries.
