The annual
Partners in Charity Appeal has received $4,234,357 in gifts and pledges so far, according to Michael P. Gillespie, diocesan director of the Office of Stewardship and Development. That leaves $765,643 of the $5 million goal, to be raised. The appeal ends Aug. 31, the end of the fiscal year. So far, 85 percent has been raised and 29 parishes in the diocese have reached or exceeded their goals, Mr. Gillespie reported. Another 58 have reached at least 50 percent of their goals, including six that are at 90 percent or more and 13 that are within 80 percent of goal. So far, 12,473 gifts and pledges have been received.
The annual Partners in Charity Appeal helps to fund 28 diocesan ministries and agencies. The parish listing is in this week's
Catholic Free Press which you can access online.
