Tim Francis, who has brought his message of faith across the nation, will address the 21st Anniversary Worcester Diocesan Catholic Men’s Conference Saturday, April 2, at Assumption University. His topic is “Science Tests Faith.”
While the conference welcomes all participants for this in-person event, there is an alternative way to participate. Men can join in from home via television, Roku, laptop, tablet, personal computer or phone. Those interested should email co-chairman, Angelo Guadagno at angelo0527@gmail.com. He will register the person and send them a link on Thursday, March 31, to access the live event. Assumption University does not require attendees to wear masks on campus.
One of six children, Mr. Francis grew up never missing Mass. College turned him to the party life … leaving the Church behind. By the time he left college he was addicted to cocaine. In 1999 his mother sent him a VHS tape she recorded “Signs from God - Science Tests Faith.” It wasn’t until 2009 that he discovered the meaning of the miracles showcased on that FOX documentary.
Returning to the practice of the faith Mr. Francis has now conducted more than 500 parish missions. In 2019 he spoke at the Worcester Catholic Women’s Conference. His talk will explore signs from God, miracles and their meaning, and the quest for truth.
Other conference speakers include media executive, Kevin O’Brien (“The Courageous Father”); world-renowned skier Dan Egan (“Running Towards God’s Purpose: The Power of Manifesting Outcome”); Air Force Academy professor and pro-life runner Pat Castle (“How to be a Pro-Life Champion”); and Father Anthony Hamaty who will speak prior to confessions (“Where are You? How and Why We Hide from God’s Love and Mercy”).
The conference’s speaking program will take place in Assumption’s Plourde Center. Registration and dozens of exhibitions will be in the Laska Gym. Confessions will be heard at the conference.
Bishop McManus will be the principal concelebrant and homilist for the conference Mass at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $60 for adult men and $30 for students at the door.
