17th Sunday in Ordinary Time “Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Luke 11:9) Jesus assures us that if we ask, God will take care of what we need. The problem is that our culture often confuses what we really need with what we simply want. Many people need very little. However, we usually want so much more. A good steward only asks God for what he needs.
Fatal Flaws Showing in Uxbridge Should medical professionals have the legal right to end human lives? Are laws allowing assisted suicide leading society down a dangerous path? Filmmaker Kevin Dunn (2019 Catholic Men’s Conference speaker) travels to the Netherlands, Belgium, the U.S.A., and Canada to ask these questions. The Massachusetts legislature is currently trying to legalize it here. See this important film on Wednesday, August 21, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Mary Parish, 77 Mendon Street, Uxbridge.
