Bishop McManus has announced transfers and one retirement affecting five diocesan priests and one deacon. All transfers are in effect.
Father Juan D. Echavarría, pastor of St. Mary of the Hills Parish in Boylston, is taking a sabbatical for studies in Colombia. During this time, Father C. Michael Broderick, who was pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Lancaster, is serving as temporary administrator of St. Mary of the Hills and residing at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Northborough.
Immaculate Conception has a new pastor, Father James S. Mazzone, who also remains as pastor of St. John, Guardian of Our Lady Parish in Clinton.
Father Julio R. Granados, associate pastor of St. John, Guardian of Our Lady, has the additional duties of associate pastor of Immaculate Conception.
Father Son A. Nguyen, chaplain at St. Vincent Hospital, has retired and is living at Our Lady of Vilna Parish in Worcester, where the Vietnamese community worships.
Returning from medical leave, Deacon Thomas R. Creamer has been assigned to St. Louis Parish, Webster.
