Transitional deacons ordained

Deacons Carlos Andres Ruiz Vasquez, Juan David Escudero Muñoz and Mateus Monteiro de Souza are in the final stage of preparation for ordination to the priesthood. At right, the men lie prostrate during the Litany of Saints. Hundreds of people attended the ordination in support of the men, two from Colombia and one from Brazil. They  are attending St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore and are scheduled to be ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Worcester in 2015.
