The annual Partners in Charity Appeal has received gifts and pledges of $4,401,692, or 88 percent of its goal of $5 million, according to Michael P. Gillespie, director of the diocesan Office of Stewardship and Development. That is $88,743 more than was received last year in the third week of June, Mr. Gillespie said. So far this year there are 1,401 new donors who have made gifts and pledges totaling $151,384. Thirty-three parishes have reached or exceeded their goals. Fourteen parishes are at 90 to 99 percent of their goals, 28 are between 80 and 89 percent and 19 are between 70 and 79 percent. Twelve parishes are 69 percent or lower, Mr. Gillespie reported. Those people who wish to lend their support to Partners may do so in various ways. They may donate through their parish collection; go online to www.Partners-Charity.net; or mail in a donation to Partners in Charity, 49 Elm St., Worcester, MA 01609.
