Partners hits 90%

“We hit 90 percent,” Michael Gillespie, diocesan director of stewardship and development, rejoiced yesterday, reporting on the annual Partners in Charity Appeal.
“We’re three weeks ahead of schedule. We reached 90 percent at the end of June last year.”
To reach the $5 million goal, $525,376 is still needed, and can be given online through www.partners-charity.net or through pledge envelopes available in parishes, he said.
To date 35 parishes have reached or surpassed their goals,
17,858 donors have given, online giving is at $265,000, and 4,500 people who gave in 2012 have yet to give, he said. The St. Paul Society (donors who give $5,000 or more) has raised $736,000.
