World champion surfer “Bear” Woznick will speak at the annual Worcester Diocesan Catholic Men’s Conference, scheduled for Saturday, March 25, at the Plourde Center at Assumption University. His talk is titled, “12 Rules of Manliness.” No stranger to speaking at men’s conferences, Mr. Woznick is a resident of Waikiki, Hawaii, with his wife, Cindy. Together they have four adult children. He is the host of the television program, “Long Ride Home with Bear Woznick,” which airs on EWTN, the Armed Forces Network and Amazon Prime. He also hosts the radio program, “The Bear Woznick Adventure,” which is heard by millions each week on more than 500 radio stations in all 50 states as well as on Sirius FM. He is the author of the Amazon best seller, “A Surfing Guide to the Soul” and “Deep Adventure: The Way of Heroic Virtue. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in theology from Franciscan University, Mr. Woznick is a CPA and is a Benedictine Oblate in Hawaii. Other speakers at the event include Tulsa, Oklahoma, residents and radio co-hosts, Adam Minihan and David Niles, (“Friendship, Family and Future Saints”); Jeff Joaquin, owner of JMJ Site Development Co. (“The Journey Away from God and the Journey back”); Msgr. James P. Moroney, the pastor of St. Cecilia Parish in Leominster (“Readiness for Reconciliation”); and Father Chris Alar, MIC, the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception (“Being a Eucharistic Man”). Diocesan and religious priests will hear confessions at mid-day. Bishop McManus will be the principal celebrant and homilist for the Conference Mass at 4 p.m.
